Dr. Banerjee recently retired, after more than 25 years of service in the R&D of various petroleum industries and research institutes in the US, Canada and Japan. Dr. Banerjee has three US patents and one Canadian patent on Slurry-Phase resid hydrocracking technology. He has developed two co-processing technologies for the upgrading of Alberta bitumen and coal. Has five US patents pending on in-situ recovery and upgrading of Alberta bitumen. Dr. Banerjee has M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Doctorate degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Institute of Oil and Gas, Romania. Dr. Banerjee currently resides in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
